Halloween Pumpkins
October 24, 2007
I live in The Netherlands. Here we have holidays such as St Maarten, Sinterklaas and of course Carnaval. But Halloween is a new holiday for The Dutch. The last couple of years it’s been celebrated more and more. I like Halloween and all of the spooky stuff that comes with it. Like the Halloween Pumpkin, I love it. This year I decided to make some myself.

First problem was finding a pumpkin. I looked everywhere but only found fake plastic ones. After 1 farm and 4 stores I finally found them. I bought 2 of them and found out they were pretty heavy.

I looked up some info on the web. I started cutting out the top of the pumpkin. I made the hole big enough for me to scoop out the seeds and membrane. After that the fun could begin: Giving the pumpkin a face. One of them became a real Jack-o’-Lantern. The other became a real Soozie-o’-Lantern LOL.
